Most OpenRush tools work on any domain using live SERPs and a search index. Connecting Google Search Console adds one more thing: your own measured search data, the real clicks, impressions, CTR, and position that Google recorded for a site you own. Once a property is connected, the get_search_performance tool can read it. See Query your Search Console for the ways to slice that data.

Connect in the Dashboard

Connect as many Google accounts and Search Console properties as you need, with no limit, even mixing properties from different Google accounts.
  1. Open Connections.
  2. Choose to connect Google Search Console.
  3. Sign in with the Google account that owns the property and approve access.
  4. Pick the property to link to your website.
You can connect one property or several. Each connected website reports its own state.

Connection states

Each website shows a Search Console connection state: Reading your connected data with get_search_performance costs credits; connecting does not. See Credits and rate limits. Developers can read the same performance data over the API, see Get search performance.
