The 1,000 most-linked-to websites (2026)

Ranked by backlink rank, a 0 to 1000 score of how much of the web points at each domain. Snapshot taken June 2026.

As of June 2026, 4 domains hold a perfect backlink rank of 1,000: instagram.com, facebook.com, twitter.com, youtube.com. Scores compress fast below them. The 1,000th domain on this list still scores 634, so every entry here sits in the upper third of the scale.

Method. Backlink rank is a 0 to 1000 score built from the size and authority of a domain's inbound link profile. It is not a count of links. The scale is heavily compressed at the top, which is why only 4 domains reach 1,000 and why the 1,000th still scores 634. Positions follow the source ranking.

The 10 most-linked-to websites

In order: 1. instagram.com, 2. facebook.com, 3. twitter.com, 4. youtube.com, 5. iubenda.com, 6. telegram.org, 7. google.com, 8. linkedin.com, 9. t.me, 10. vk.com. The social platforms are there because nearly every site on the web carries a share or follow link. Anything in that list that is not a social network is worth a second look: it usually means a widget or a legal footer rather than an audience.

Reading the top 50 and beyond

The table holds all 1,000 domains. Read the score, not the position: the range across the entire list is only 1,000 down to 634, so neighbouring rows are close to indistinguishable and rank movements of twenty places mean little.

What this data does not tell you

Every ranking hides its own assumptions. These are the ones worth knowing before you quote a number from this page.

  • This is a score, not a link count. Nothing on this page says how many links a domain has, only where it lands on a 0 to 1000 scale.
  • The scale is compressed and the list is truncated. Every domain here scores at least 634, so a few points near the top stand for enormous differences in absolute link volume.
  • Being linked to is not the same as being read. A good share of this list is boilerplate: consent managers, share buttons, analytics scripts, and CMS credits that sit in millions of footers and collect links nobody chose to give.
  • It says nothing about link quality in either direction. A domain can score highly on volume from low-value sources, and the score does not separate editorial links from templated ones.
  • The snapshot is frozen at June 2026. The OpenRush MCP server returns live backlink data for any domain through inspect_domain.
  • Adult rows are hidden on this page, not removed. 24 of 1,000 rows are filtered by default, and the downloads are complete.

Frequently asked questions

What is the most-linked-to website?
4 domains tie at the maximum backlink rank of 1,000 as of June 2026: instagram.com, facebook.com, twitter.com, youtube.com. The score saturates at the top, so there is no single answer.
What is backlink rank?
A 0 to 1000 score summarising the size and authority of a domain's inbound link profile. Higher means more of the web, weighted by authority, points at that domain. It is a relative score rather than a count, so a rank of 634 does not mean 634 links.
Why are consent tools and widgets on this list?
Because links are counted, not chosen. Cookie banners, share buttons, analytics tags, and theme credits appear in the footer of millions of sites and each one carries a link home. It is a real measurement of link volume and a poor proxy for importance.
Can I check my own domain?
Not from this page, which is a fixed top-1,000 snapshot. The OpenRush MCP server exposes inspect_domain, which returns live backlink data for any domain you ask about.
